Session 3#D

2010/2011 > Raport

All pegs are working for group "D" on January 23 in all kinds of weather !!!

Everybody in Group D caught fish on January 23rd, and the race for points was fairly close until Luke Bober, from peg 1, pulled away at the end. Forget all those comments posted by that Rink guy about what pegs are best. Ernest Kolodziejczyk from peg 3, which is supposedly the worst peg, not only took the 4 points for second place today, but he also captured big fish of the day at 19-3.
We experienced changing weather throughout the session. At the 6:20 a.m. peg draw, it was 4° with a windchill of 12 degrees below zero. Then, at 11:00 a.m., the sun came out and it was fairly pleasant. That was followed by a snow squall that deposited about an inch of snow at our pegs.
Then, it got cloudy and windy to end the day. The warm water discharge was apparently working as water temperature was 52°.
At the 3:00 p.m. whistle, the order of finish was Luke Bober at peg 1 (1st, 10 fish, 112-9), Ernest Kolodziejczyk at peg 3 (2nd, 5 fish, 58-14), Frank Rink at peg 5 (3rd, 4 fish, 52-6), and Henry Burza at peg 4 (4th, 2 fish, 24-1). Peg 2 was
not drawn once again. Zenon Jastrzebski did not fish.

The January 23 session marked the halfway point of the Winter Carp League. There is still a long way to go. The Bears came very close to making a big comeback in the second half of the NFC Championship game, so the Winter League championship is still anyone's to win. Good luck to all in the second half!
