Session # 3 for Group C

Peg draw was held at 6 :15 with a full roster of anglers and Judge Marcin from Group B presiding. # 5 -Greg, # 4 - Mihai, #3- Jacob, #2- Istvan and #1 - Ed. We retreated to our pegs and began preparation for the 7 am start. The weatherman was right , it was COLD ! 7 degrees with a below zero wind chill. This was the coldest session yet, at least for this group and hopefully the remaining ones will be somewhat warmer. 7 am- with smoke billowing from both stacks accompanied by 50- 52 degree water temperatures final setups were completed and the competition began. Greg at peg 5 had steady action all day and ended up the total weight leader, followed by Ed on peg 1 with Mihai only a couple pounds behind on peg 4. Istvan on peg 2 and Jacob on 3 picked up the remaining points. As usual, the all important peg draw held sway. The sun finally burned through and made a much welcomed appearance about halfway through the session and the day turned out to be comfortable. We are nearing the halfway point of the league and the standings are tightening up, it is still anybody's ballgame.Remember, it's a marathon, not a sprint. Until next time.
