Milwaukee weather and peg predictions: Your guess is as good as mine
The Midwest Winter Carp League's Group D traveled to Milwaukee on the day after Christmas despite forecasts for 8 to 12 inches of lake effect snow. Roads were a little touchy from Hinsdale to O'Hare, but once we got to Wisconsin, it was smooth sailing. In fact, there was only an inch or so of snow on the ground at our league venue. So much for weather predictions.
Zenon Jastrzebski was unable to make the session due to a family commitment, but the other Group D members arrived safely for their peg draw. Luke Bober drew 5, Henry Burza-4, Ernest Kolodziejczyk-3, and Frank Rink-1. Typically, peg 5 is the big producer, but peg one held most of the fish on December 26. At the end of the day, Frank Rink had 5 points, followed by Henry Burza (4), Ernest Kolodziejczyk (3) and Luke Bober (1). So much for peg predictions.
Frank Rink won the big fish pot (14-5) on a WCB 16mm pineapple pop-up boilie. Water temps varied from 48 degrees on the surface at peg 1 to 56 degrees on the bottom at pegs 4 and 5. The weather for the session alternated between sun and clouds (mostly clouds) with temperatures in the mid-20's and a north breeze. Happy New Year.!
